Middlesex
Middlesex County is located in southeastern Virginia on the Middle Peninsula. The county is bounded on the north by the Rappahannock River, on the south by the Piankatank River, and on the east by the Chesapeake Bay. A unique rural community surrounded by 135 square miles of shoreline, Middlesex County offers industries a strategic location on the East Coast. Middlesex County is located 60 miles east of Richmond, the state capital, and 125 miles southeast of Washington, D.C. The Port of Hampton Roads is 74 miles south.
